💡 How to hang wallpaper

Before starting work and hanging the wallpaper, please pay attention to the following aspects: check the article number, the batch number, and the pattern repeat symbols. Please keep the control slip and wallpaper samples.

Carefully prepare the surface

Surface preparation – the surface must be dry, sound, capable of absorbing moisture evenly, clean, neutral, and smooth. Old wallpaper and water-soluble coatings must be removed. Cracks and holes should be filled with a spackling compound if necessary, while highly absorbent surfaces must be pre-primed with wallpaper paste (sizing). Old, unstable surfaces that cannot bear a load must be primed with a specially designed wallpaper primer.

Attention! Non-woven wallpaper must be hung on a uniformly colored surface. For this reason, we recommend applying a pigmented base coat under the wallpaper.

The adhesive must be applied directly to the wall.

We recommend using a high-quality, reliable brand of adhesive specifically designed for non-woven wallpaper, and following the preparation instructions provided. Thoroughly mix the non-woven wallpaper adhesive according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Using a roller, apply the adhesive to the wall over the width of the wallpaper roll.

 Hanging the wallpaper.

Hanging non-woven wallpaper always begins "from the light," which means that wallpapering the walls should start near a window. Ensure that the first strip of wallpaper is applied in a perfectly vertical line and properly aligned vertically, so that subsequent strips can be hung straight.

After the wall is coated with adhesive, the non-woven wallpaper is applied directly to the wall and smoothed out with a roller; moreover, this type of wallpaper requires no soaking time. Using a soft wallpapering brush, a cloth, or a microporous rubber roller, press the strip firmly against the wall and smooth it out to prevent the formation of air bubbles.

Trimming the excess and finishing up...

Trim the overhanging edges of the wallpaper at the top and bottom. Hang the subsequent strips of wallpaper perfectly edge-to-edge (butt joint). A conical seam roller can be used at the joints. Please note that strong heat and drafts must be avoided during application and drying. The optimal working temperature ranges from 18 °C to 25 °C.

Additional tips

Another advantage of decorating walls with non-woven wallpaper is that, if applied properly, it can be easily and completely removed dry from the wall during your next renovation.

Description

This extra-thick and high-quality non-woven wallpaper (material density 270 g/m²) stands out with its clean white background and highly refined, delicate botanical design. In a classic, nature-inspired drawing, tree branches with foliage, blossoms, and birds are depicted, standing out elegantly in light gray, completely matte tones, reminiscent of a delicate pencil sketch or an antique engraving. The wallpaper features a slightly structured and completely matte surface, giving this design contemporary lightness, airy spaciousness, and understated elegance.

Mood in your space

  • Play of light: Since the surface is completely matte and slightly textured, rather than reflecting light, it softly absorbs and diffuses room light. This means there will be no distracting glares on the wall, and the white background with the light gray pattern creates a very soft, luminous, and soothing mood in the room.
  • Mood and space: The interplay between the white background and light botanical pattern brings freshness, cleanliness, and an exceptionally romantic, airy atmosphere into the room. It is a perfect choice for creating an inspiring and relaxing environment in a bedroom, bright living room, nursery, or modern home office without visually overloading the space.
  • Touch: Feeling the wallpaper, its firm and slightly embossed structure is clearly noticeable. This gentle graininess combined with the extra-thick non-woven material (270 g/m²) is a major practical advantage – it will perfectly help conceal small wall imperfections or plastering flaws, making the surface look visually smooth and neat.

Tapetenshop expert advice: "As experts at Tapetenshop, we recommend this wallpaper to anyone wishing to create a bright, serene, and subtly elegant atmosphere in their home. It is ideally suited for spaces where you want to combine classic nature motifs with a modern, clean, and airy background.

Thanks to the extra-thick non-woven substrate (270 g/m²), wallpaper hanging is very convenient and swift – paste is applied directly to the wall. The white background and matte light gray pattern will look stunning paired with white or light wood furniture, silver or glass details, and soft pastel textiles. Our main recommendation: since this nature motif is designed in very calm and light tones, it will never feel obtrusive. You can use it as a single romantic accent wall, or confidently cover the entire room with this wallpaper to create a unified, spacious, and harmonious feel."
