💡 How to hang wallpaper

Before starting work and hanging the wallpaper, please pay attention to the following aspects: check the article number, the batch number, and the pattern repeat symbols. Please keep the control slip and wallpaper samples.
Carefully prepare the surface
Surface preparation – the surface must be dry, sound, capable of absorbing moisture evenly, clean, neutral, and smooth. Old wallpaper and water-soluble coatings must be removed. Cracks and holes should be filled with a spackling compound if necessary, while highly absorbent surfaces must be pre-primed with wallpaper paste (sizing). Old, unstable surfaces that cannot bear a load must be primed with a specially designed wallpaper primer.
Attention! Non-woven wallpaper must be hung on a uniformly colored surface. For this reason, we recommend applying a pigmented base coat under the wallpaper.

The adhesive must be applied directly to the wall.
We recommend using a high-quality, reliable brand of adhesive specifically designed for non-woven wallpaper, and following the preparation instructions provided. Thoroughly mix the non-woven wallpaper adhesive according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Using a roller, apply the adhesive to the wall over the width of the wallpaper roll.

Hanging the wallpaper.
Hanging non-woven wallpaper always begins "from the light," which means that wallpapering the walls should start near a window. Ensure that the first strip of wallpaper is applied in a perfectly vertical line and properly aligned vertically, so that subsequent strips can be hung straight.
After the wall is coated with adhesive, the non-woven wallpaper is applied directly to the wall and smoothed out with a roller; moreover, this type of wallpaper requires no soaking time. Using a soft wallpapering brush, a cloth, or a microporous rubber roller, press the strip firmly against the wall and smooth it out to prevent the formation of air bubbles.

Trimming the excess and finishing up...
Trim the overhanging edges of the wallpaper at the top and bottom. Hang the subsequent strips of wallpaper perfectly edge-to-edge (butt joint). A conical seam roller can be used at the joints. Please note that strong heat and drafts must be avoided during application and drying. The optimal working temperature ranges from 18 °C to 25 °C.
Additional tips
Another advantage of decorating walls with non-woven wallpaper is that, if applied properly, it can be easily and completely removed dry from the wall during your next renovation.

Transform your home into a true oasis of tranquillity and elegance by choosing premium non-woven wallpaper from the German manufacturer ‘AS Creation’. The importance of design, colour and material in your home
Patterns and materials directly influence the atmosphere of a room and how you feel within it:What sort of interior is this wallpaper best suited to? Thanks to its bold and luxurious pattern, this wallpaper is best used as the room’s main focal point – by covering a single wall (for example, behind a bed or sofa). It will go beautifully with solid wood furniture, gold or brass interior details, as well as with plain-coloured and heavy textiles (such as velvet curtains).
- Design and colours: The wallpaper features a classic, large damask pattern in warm gold or sandy tones, which contrasts elegantly with a deep, dark grey background. Psychologically, the dark background creates an intimate, luxurious and sheltered ‘cocoon’ atmosphere in the room, whilst the gold-coloured elements bring warmth and a sense of festivity. It is the ideal choice for a classic or modern-classic living room, as well as a luxurious bedroom.
- Texture and finish: As can be clearly seen in the close-up, the wallpaper has an exceptionally pronounced, deep and substantial texture – the background resembles rough tree bark or a dense fabric, whilst the pattern itself stands out with its rich relief. The surface is completely matt, with no cheap sheen. This luxurious texture creates a genuine tapestry effect, visually softening the room and giving the walls a unique character.
- Health-safe composition: This premium-class wallpaper is also manufactured with your family’s wellbeing in mind – it is free from phthalates (harmful plasticisers). The material does not emit harmful substances and helps maintain a healthy and safe indoor microclimate.
Significant practical advantages during renovation:
- Wide roll (10.05 m x 0.70 m): One roll covers an area of 7.04 m², which means there will be significantly fewer joins on the wall, and the hanging process will be quicker.
- Extra thickness (370 g/m²): The particularly thick material, combined with its deep, pronounced texture, is ideal – better than any other wallpaper – for concealing even significant wall irregularities, cracks and defects in the filler. Furthermore, the thick material provides additional sound insulation.
