Measuring instructions for Roman blinds

Procedure for measuring Roman blinds

To order Roman blinds, you need to measure the total width and the total height of the blind.

Please note that once assembled, the height of a Roman blind is 20-25 cm, so make sure that the blind does not interfere with the opening of the window!

Choose the installation option that suits your Roman blinds:
In the window box;
Above the window frame, wall-mounted;
Above the window frame, fixed to the ceiling.

To install in a window opening, measure

1. the width of the upper part of the column,

2. the height of the opening, the distance from the top of the opening to the sill.

It should be noted that in very rare cases the width of the box at the top and bottom is the same, but the height of the box on the right and left may be different. Therefore, to insert a roller blind in a window opening, 1 cm must be subtracted from the width and height of the opening.

When choosing this installation method, Roman blinds must be ordered with the following dimensions:
Width of the blind = Width - 1 cm
Height of the blinds = height of the box - 1 cm

Installation above the window frame with wall mounting.
To fix the blinds to the wall, you need to measure

1. the required width (usually add 10-20 cm to the width of the opening so that the blinds cover the opening),
2. the required height (usually Roman blinds are fixed 10 cm above the window frame).

Important! Before measuring, check that the heating pipes, air conditioning system and its connections, recesses or protrusions do not interfere with the installation of the Roman blind above the window.

Above the window frame, fixing to the ceiling.

The most popular solution for rooms and spaces with standard ceiling heights. Often, fixing the blinds to the wall may involve additional difficulties: metal beams, wiring in the wall or built-in heating or air conditioning pipes.

Therefore, if you do not have the necessary experience in installation work, we recommend fixing the blinds to the ceiling.

To fix Roman blinds to the ceiling, you need to measure:

1. the required width (usually add 10-20 cm to the width of the opening so that the blinds cover the opening),
2. the required height

Important! In addition, you can choose the position of the adjustment elements.
